It has been wonderful welcoming our students back to school this week and hearing about their holiday adventures. Our new students, including those in Lower 1st, have settled so quickly that it already feels as though we have been together much longer.
At John Colet School, our Values of Stillness, Truthfulness, Courage, Service, and Respect guide everything we do. Throughout the year, students and staff engage with these values as part of daily learning and interactions, with each term dedicated to a particular Core Value and its practical application.
This term, our focus is on Truthfulness. Over the coming weeks, students will explore what it means to be truthful through simple, reflective questions drawn from our Vision, Mission, and Values Statement:
• Is it true?
• Is it kind, pleasant, and beneficial?
• Is it uplifting?
• What would a wise person say or do?
