Last week, Mr. Renshaw spoke to the staff about our school motto, “Testare de ille Luce” which translates as ‘Bear witness of that light”.
This week, I had several opportunities to witness the light in our 6th class students. On Tuesday, our eldest students warmly welcomed our new Lower 1st children on their first day of school.Their friendly presence was invaluable to the younger children, their parents, and staff alike.
Mr. Wilcock and I also met with the 6th class leadership team – the Head Boy, Head Girl, House Captains, Head Chorister, and Art Prefect—to discuss how they can each contribute in their respective roles. All had thoughtful ideas and enthusiasm for the duties they have promised to undertake this year. I am confident that 6th class will serve as excellent role models for our school community and that they will find this year to be an enriching experience.
