On Monday we will be celebrating Nowruz. This is an ancient custom held throughout Central, Western and South Asia and in and around the Black Sea basin, to celebrate the new year. The children in each year have all made something which will be placed on a table called the Haftseen table. For example, our L1st children have been growing seeds to represent new life while our 6th class children have been producing calligraphy. Everything that goes on the table has particular significance. This is an opportunity for the children to embrace different cultures and acknowledge what is common to all humanity.
