Congratulations to Lucia C (5T) who has won the title of the 2019 National Champion at the recent National Chinese Eisteddfod.
The National Chinese Eisteddfod is an annual event organised by the Chinese Language Educational Council of NSW. It is a poem or prose recital competition for students of Chinese background or non-Chinese background. It is an opportunity for students who study Chinese to use and practise the language in a formal competitive setting.
Lucia recited the traditional Chinese poem, “Hurry” (匆匆) written by Zhu Ziqing (朱自清). Her confident and well executed delivery won her this fabulous award. Huge congratulations to Lucia for her hard work and dedication.
Lucia is a talented linguist who last year won her age group in John Colet School’s annual Sanskrit Recitation Competition.
